OTA PICTURE OF THE WEEK


Team Head Masterclass at Rexall Centre
Team Head held a Masterclass this week at the Rexall Centre in conjunction with the $50,000 Tevlin Challenger. The Masterclass was lead by Tennis Canada National Coach Roberto Brogin and included some of the top junior girls sponsored by Head in Canada. Brogin put the girls through their paces for two hours and they also got to try out the new Head Instinct and Speed Frames. Tevlin Challenger
The 10th Anniversary edition of the $50,000 Tevlin Challenger ITF women’s tournament is on this week at the Rexall Centre in Toronto. Semi final singles play is scheduled for Saturday Nov 1st with the finals scheduled for Sunday, Nov 2nd. WTA star Gabriela Dobrovski from Ottawa is in the singles semi-finals. She narrowly lost the doubles final 15-13 in the 3rd set super-breaker. Admission is free – come out and support some of Canada’s rising stars as they compete against top players from around the world. The Champions U9 - Nov 7 - 9
This year there will be one main event at the Rexall Centre Nov 7 - 9. The U9 Championships are open to all players who are Ontario residents and members of OTA member clubs. The program vision is to encourage top level coaches to nurture and develop young players to prepare them for a premier level U9 championship event. The coaches responsible for developing the champions of this event will be provided supplemental funding support to continue their outstanding work with their U9 athlete.
